Top 5 bands of the month

We've decided to do bands of the month. Each month we'll talk about 5 bands that we think people should check out.
FELICITY



FELICITY are a five piece Hard Rock/Pop Punk band from band from Orlando. The band have an amazing oppertunity performing at festivals such as Vans Warped Tour, Sun Fest, Florida Music Festival, and Fort Rock 2017 which will really get their name out there which is every bands dream. They have a lot of fans across the world. They have a new single called "The City Beautiful" which shows footage from their tours and festivals that they have performed at. The crowd of people they perform infront of is amazing and they're doing really well for themselves.



Pulverise


This female fronted rap metal band will get you singing and dancing. This band will put you in a party mood. The band supported Sumo Cyco which was a huge step for them and they really deserve it. This band are for fans of Sumo Cyco. Pulverise have their own sound. They mix different sounds and genres and they end up with their own, awesome and unique sound. Singer JoJo can really rap and sing with a heavy vibe. Their drummer, Vicky Reader, will be featured in an upcoming article so look out for that!



Fear Me December

If you read my interviews then you should know who these amazing guys are. Fear Me December are a female fronted band from Manchester but they're originally from Argentina so they made a massive desicion relocating to the UK. That's a massive step for a band but this has also gained them a lot of new fans. The band hit the studio very recently so keep an eye out for more amazing music!



Young States


Young States are an all female alternative rock band showing what they can do! They've performed with the likes of New Years Day, Trashboat and The Gospel Youth which all must've been an amazing oppertunity so perform with big bands at such an early stage of a band career. This band are doing so well for themselves and you should check out their music!

Eva Play's Dead



Eva Play's Dead recently put out their new EP 'The Fix' which talks about Tiggy's struggles. To find out more about their EP and the meaning behind the EP check out my intrinter with Tiggy. The band have had so much positive feedback from their EP. Eva Play's Dead have annamaan a sound to them.

Altered Sky at Download Festival 2018

Download Festival is the biggest rock festival in the UK with thousands of people attending it each year to see some of their favourite bands perform on the stages. Big and small bands are given the opportunity to perform at the festival each year. This year one of the smaller bands that are making it happen at Download this year were Glasgow rockers, Altered Sky who were excited to perform to a crowd of 3000 people with new and old fans in the crowd, waiting for their performance. Not many bands get an opportunity to perform at a massive festival like this so the band jumped at the opportunity. Altered Sky currently have an album out called ‘Without Wonderland’ and have been working on their second album which they said to be “darker and heavier” so we’ll wait for that and see if it sounds like how they promised! LGBT musicians in the rock and metal music industry

We've decided to write this requested article about LGBT musicians in the rock and metal industry featuring interviews with LGBT musicians. NOTE: We are sorry that half of the article looks different to the rest of it (white boarder around the black font writing) there's not much that we can do about it but we're glad that it's still readable. The rock and metal music scene are the most supportive when it comes to LGBT+ as many musicians and fans are LGBT+ One of which is Lynn Gunn, who sings for the band PVRIS and is also gay. She's a huge LGBT+ inspiration as well as a music inspiration with fans calling her "the gay icon" and "gay god". Many of PVRIS's fans are LGBT+ and all feel very excepted. There was a time at a PVRIS meet and greet when a fan came out to her mum as gay by holding a sign saying she was gay and Lynn asked if she was sure she wanted to come out this way and she did.
