Take Today gig review

Take Today performed at The Cathouse Glasgow June 2nd 2018 to release their new EP 'Rise Above' with support from Landslides, Century Thirteen and Finding Argyle who are all local bands and have all performed with Take Today before.

As people were walking into the venue, the bands were getting ready to perform and Ross McClenaghan (merch guy) was setting up the Take Today merch at the back of the venue. Most people were at the bar before the bands started sue to the heat that night.

The gig started at 7pm. The opening band 'Landslides' kicked things off with a few of their songs and there was already a good few people at the front watching the performance. However there was feedback from the mics which isn't the bands fault as this happened throughout the night. People enjoyed the bands performance and it was a good opening band.

Next up was Century Thirteen who I've seen once before. The band done really well and performed a few of their songs. This band are for fans of Blink-182 and Sum 41. They have an early 2000s pop punk sound. This band also have new music coming soon so keep an eye out for that!

The final support band was Finding Argyle who were a heavier band than the other support bands as the other support bands had a really pop punk sound. Finding Aryle were on before Take Today so they had a bigger crowd of people to perform in front of. Bigger group meaning around 20 people.

Finally the main band, Take Today, hit the stage. Each of the guys are talented individuals. They sang a few old and new songs for old and new fans to hear and both were really good and each song had a different sound full of shredding, solos and awesome drum beats. They never fail to amaze people.
